2025 H-1B Selection Registration Initial Request

Starting in February: Prospective employers may begin to set up a myUSCIS organizational account. You need to use this account to submit the H-1B registration. If you already have an H-1B registrant account from last year’s electronic registration, you can upgrade it to an organizational account. We will be sending a separate email with detailed instructions for setting up and linking your account with our representative account.
March 7, 2025: H-1B registration period opens at noon Eastern. During this period, our office will register each prospective H-1B employee you wish to sponsor. The H-1B registration fee is $215 per prospective H-1B employee.
March 24, 2025: H-1B registration period closes at noon Eastern.
March 31, 2025: date by which USCIS intends to notify registrants selected in the initial lottery.
April 1, 2025: the earliest date that H-1B cap-subject petitions for the initial lottery selections may be filed. Our office will file the Labor Condition Application (LCA) on behalf of the petitioning employer and prepare all the forms and supporting documents.
June 30, 2025: filing deadline for H-1B cap-subject petitions that are selected in the initial lottery selections.
August 2025: If USCIS does not receive enough H-1B cap-subject petitions that are selected in the initial lottery to meet the annual cap, they will have a second round of the selection process to select additional registrations to submit petitions for the FY 2026 H-1B cap.
April 2025 to October 2025: USCIS will review the H-1B cap-subject petitions and inform the employer if additional evidence is required.
October 1, 2025: If the H-1B cap-subject petitions are approved, the employee’s H-1B status will start on October 1, 2025.
